Equestrian at Stuartholme has kicked off with a flying start. The first event for the year, the Stuartholme Dressage and Showman Competition, was held on Saturday 1 March. Stuartholme won overall Team’s first, third and fifth places.
“It’s a wonderful start, especially for our new 2014 riders,” Equestrian Coordinator Anna Starosta said.
The Parent Committee hosted a very successful event catering for 155 Dressage tests and the Showman event.
“It was an intense non-stop day but everyone enjoyed themselves,” Anna said.
“Our riders did very well with the majority of them gaining much needed qualifiers for the State Titles later in the year.”

Nicole Lewindon and Monique Searle convened the day and Sue Diamond and her team ran the canteen.
“It would have been impossible without the help of the Committee and everyone who helped on the day,” Anna said.
“A special thank you to Mr Ben Hegarty for coming to visit and catching up with the girls.”
The team is now in full competition mode leading up to the South East Queensland Championships.
“Most of the team will be competing every weekend at Interschool events and I wish them every success,” Anna said.
“We have our second camp of the season on March 21 to 23 at the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.”
“It will cover various competition aspects including a substantial amount on cross country.”
The camp follows on from a successful few days at the Queensland State Centre in February. Congratulations to the team and all the best with the upcoming season.
