“It’s been an amazing experience and I’m very grateful for the support of my school, family and friends.”
“I’ve always been interested in the planning and architecture behind how city roads work, especially what can be done to improve them.”
Planning Institute Australia State Manager for Queensland, Dan Molley said it was a very special achievement for Alex and her work was of an exceptional standard.
“Alex’s project was well researched and showed a strong knowledge and understanding of the local area,” he said.
“She effectively investigated the effect of traffic congestion and highlighted possible management strategies for the future.”
Stuartholme School Head of Social Science, Mrs Wendy Bolton said she was delighted by Alex’s achievement and dedication.
“She’s a very hard working and passionate woman. I wish her all the best in the future,” she said.
Alex is now studying architecture at the University of Queensland and plans to start a double degree with law in the future.
