Starting in 2014 the two schools will be working together to provide opportunities for Year 7 students from rural areas to board at Stuartholme and attend classes at St Ignatius.
Principal at Stuartholme School, Helen Sinclair said she is delighted by the partnership.
“Stuartholme has a long history of supporting families from regional communities,” she said.
“This will be a great help for them as they plan the future education of their daughters.”
Principal at St Ignatius School, Roycelyn Wilden said the opportunity for primary students to board in a Catholic secondary school is unique.
“For families who are looking at boarding at Stuartholme School, they can now start in Year 7 to ensure the transition is smooth,” she said.
“With this partnership, those students will now be able to make strong friendships early and go confidently into secondary school.”
From 2015 Stuartholme will also be accepting enrolments for Years 5 and 6 students.
