Grace Gaston and Phoebe Menzies, Year 10, received awards for their incredible lino cut prints, the compositions being translated from photos of their garden and surrounds.
Grace’s work of a dead agapanthus lily is printed on tissue paper and painted from the back to retain the sharp outlines of the print.
Phoebe’s work is of an antique bird bath from home. She has collaged into the print in variety of Japanese papers.
The girls work was selected for inclusion in the Independent Education Union’s exhibition whose theme this year was In the Garden.
Congratulations!
